In 1969, Gene Langan Sr. opened Gene Langan Volkswagen in Glastonbury, Ct. Mr. Langan worked for Volkswagen of America as a Service Manager for New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey. He opened this dealership on the basis of using his prior working knowledge, providing great service. His two sons, Gene and Glenn, followed in their father's footsteps and started working in the family business during the 80's. Today, they proudly operate three Volkswagen dealerships in Glastonbury, Meriden, and their newest location in Vernon. Volkswagen has given the Langan Family the oppurtunity to operate three Volkswagen dealerships, which rarely occurs. This is a testament to providing good service, having a dedicated and loyal employee base, and finally the most valuable ingredient...a loyal customer base.
