Gene Langan Volkswagen in Glastonbury, CT is looking for an Automotive Sales Consultant. We are a family-owned and operated dealership that has been open since 1969. Automotive Sales Consultant Responsibilities

·         Build and maintain relationships with prospective and current customers

·         Determine each customer's vehicle needs by asking questions and listening

·         Demonstrate new and used vehicles (including test drives as needed)

·         Deliver vehicles to customers ensuring that they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty and paperwork

·         Learn our in-house client software and follow-up system

·         Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat/referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction

·         Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better use time and plan more effectively

·         Continually engage in the sales training offered

Qualifications/Experience

·         At least 2 years prior automotive sales experience required

·         Proven track record of sales ability from previous place of employment

·         Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information

·         Excellent communication skills

·         Ability to sell a minimum quota according to dealership standards

·         A strong, positive work ethic and an interest in a long-term position

·         A professional appearance and impeccable professional integrity

·         Valid driver's license required

·         Authorized to work in the USA

Dealership Commitment

·         Generous weekly salary + commission

o   M-F:      8:30am - 6:00pm

o   Sat:        8:30am - 5:00pm

o   Sun:       Closed
